Da estimatore di Cena direi che fanno bene, perché non è certo il workrate l'aspetto di Cena che lo rende inviso a gran parte degli appassionati. La storia del "fa sempre 5 mosse!!111!!11!!1" la tirano fuori giusto i novenni per far vedere che sono grandi e non sono più ottenni, visto che Cena nelle grandi occasioni si è sempre fatto trovare presente (o quasi, come tutti pure lui ha gli avversari con cui non ha alchimia).
Ciò che si contesta principalmente al buon John è il personaggio statico, monocolore, sempre uguale a sé stesso, e non sono certo i matchoni a cambiarlo.

Non può essere possibile visto che il primo è stato seriamente penalizzato dalla mancanza di un finale, mentre questo ne ha avuto uno ottimo.

Analysis: ****1/2 out of five stars. What a match. Wow. I'm tired just sitting here writing about it and those guys made it look so easy. That's one of the longest matches in the history of Raw. Main event matches going 30 minutes is so rare. Cesaro was incredible like usual, but it was also the first time where we really got to see him in a WWE match at this length. He's arguably the best in-ring performer in the company. As for Cena, the man continues to impress and adds another great match to his collection this year. I think this was a legitimate match of the year contender. It's definitely best TV match of the year too.

Stavolta concordo con Colosso, non può essere migliore quello di settimana scorsa proprio per la mancanza di un finale. Quello di lunedì invece, con un AA dal paletto... ciliegina sulla torta di un match perfetto, e segno di un Crna che ha dovuto dare tutto sè stesso per battere questo Cesaro.

Segnalo che è uscita una critica ai match di Cena con Cesaro e con Owens:

"The match was very exciting, I must say, but I never connected to it at a personal level. Forget the fact that a Cesaro victory was near impossible on the night, but the match never really intrigued me. I reiterate that it was exciting and that some of the spots were really good, but I felt it was just that - a frantic run over the spots and not enough psychology to draw a viewer in beyond a certain extent. I've felt the same way about most of Cena's recent matches, really, and I really wish the motif changes now. Matches of these kind are wonderful for the fans in attendance and they also serve to pop the viewers at home because of the many nearfalls, but that very fact has made it tough for me to get into them. I'm not as vehement a detractor of the nearfall method, but when they start to appear almost every week, it becomes hard to keep your engagement intact.

Don't get me wrong, I love how they treated Cesaro here and I feel that he's been put on a pedestal now, but I certainly won't put this match at the top of my list - or even my list of the top matches as it were. This theme has been too overused now. Cena's Open Title Challenge has been very cool so far - I'm a big fan of it - but he has to slow down now, I feel. It's not really helping the midcarders because they're exhausting all their options with these matches and there's just no jumping off point from it. Kevin Owens basically had the same two matches with him - bar a couple new moves - and I don't think I'm as excited for the 3rd match as others. I'd call it a glorious athletic display, but sadly, nothing more."
